Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Well I can honestly say that the book wasn't quite what I thought it would be. It's still really good but not as good as the first 2. I wish there was more romance that went on between Peeta and Katniss because I didn't really feel it too much. Also, Katniss just seemed really broken in this book which is understandable but it felt like her character got dulled down a bit. She wasn't the Katniss I was used to in the previous books. There was a lot of action and death scenes which made for a tearful book especially towards the end. I would still recommend this book as a good read.

The awesome blog Reading Teen is doing a Back to School Giveaway which I think is just great. Even though I am 26 I totally understand the dread of going back to school...because I'm a 2nd grade teacher. So believe me I am right there along with the kids crying because I have to go back to school..Lol. The summer never seems to last long enough. So what is a better way to fight the "going back to school" blues then entering in the Back to School giveaway. Okay so it might not cheer you up, especially if you don't win but if you do it will totally make your day? week? year, maybe? Anyways go to the following link by 9/24 for your chance to win any of the ARC's that they have up for grabs.

So if you haven't read the "Shifters" series by Rachel Vincent then STOP what you are doing and rush to your local bookstore. This series has everything a girl could want. It has romance, mystery, comedy, tear felt moments and not to mention kick butt action. I'm going to be so bummed when I get to the end of "Alpha" because then that means it's over. Oh the misery.....but until then I will be jumping with anticipation until Sept. 28th when "Alpha" comes out. Enjoy!!!
